Hollywood's Creation

Tom Estes Do you ever wonder why Hollywood hates God so much? I do. Why would you hate anything that you claim to not believe in? I don’t believe in the tooth fairy, but that doesn’t mean I have to despise the little tooth swapper. I am also fully aware of the fact that an overweight guy in a red suit has never come down my chimney and brought me gifts, but that doesn’t mean that I’m repulsed every time I see a depiction of Old Saint Nick. Yet Hollywood, with all its claims of non-belief in our Creator, remains tirelessly devoted to declaring hatred for Him.
Their latest effort to create suspicion concerning the existence of our Designer is the release of the film, Creation. It’s all about the life and times of a most sympathetic character, Charles Darwin. This film has a massive budget, and has stars Paul Bettany, and Jennifer Connelly playing Mr. and Mrs. Darwin. Here is the Trailer.
From this preview, it’s hard to tell if the movie is about destroying God, or about the inner struggles of Hollywood’s god, Charles Darwin. It also appears that the movie devotes some time to proving that a THEORY is a FACT. This is of course complete nonsense.
Here is my question; will Hollywood ever be able to stop bashing God? Wouldn’t you think making the Da Vinci Code would have satisfied them? After all, it made Jesus out to be nothing more than a liar and a fake. But that wasn’t enough, they had to make Angels and Demons, another movie basically attempting to prove the entire notion of God is a lie.
But just like a drug addict yearns for his next hit, Hollywood has grown so addicted to God hit-pieces that it's made the "buzz" a little harder to come by. So here they go again, endeavoring to destroy God while making miscreants into martyrs.
Here’s the HardTruth
Christians need to stop financially supporting those that hate us. And if you don't think Hollywood hates you, remember, if Hollywood hates God, Hollywood hates you, if you’re a Christian. And it’s time for Christians to stop paying their hard-earned money to watch these anti-God films. Just because Hollywood isn’t going to stop hating God, doesn’t mean that we have to continue funding their hate. One of the most effective ways for our voices to be heard is to close our wallets, and that’s the HardTruth.
