Atheism = Counterfeit Christianity

It’s been an interesting few days here at HardTruth. The atheist army has been on the offensive, attacking little ol’ me at every opportunity. (With a few exceptions) In all of the attacks I’ve received, both here and on Twitter, I have learned something; Atheism is one of the most well-structured religions we have in our world today. Of course atheists will deny this, but let me present the striking similarities between atheism and what the Bible calls “pure religion, and undefiled”, TRUE Christianity. (James 1:27)

Here we go:

Christianity has it’s authority for faith and practice, it’s called the Bible. Atheism possesses its own “bible”, The Origin of Species.  And similarly neither group reads their holy book.  How many Christians really read their Bible?  I'm sure the number is very small.  But how many atheists have read "The Origin of Species?"  I bet it's alarmingly small.

God 

We all know that Christians recognize the writer of the Bible as God, and atheism is no different. Their bible was written by Charles Darwin, the god of the atheists. And if you need proof, check out this excerpt from an article on www.richarddawkins.net about “Darwin Day.”                          

A godless minority will gather Saturday to celebrate the birthday of Charles Darwin and promote unconstrained scientific inquiry. More than 200 atheists are expected at Fern Forest Nature Preserve in Coconut Creek for Darwin Day, an international festival that celebrates the importance of scientific inquiry and the accomplishments of Darwin, who in 1838 brainstormed the theory of evolution by natural selection.

Does this in any way remind you of “Christmas Day", you know, the day when we celebrate the birth and accomplishments of Jesus Christ? I think it does

Holy Spirit

As Christians, we believe in the triune God. We believe that God has three persons, all of equal power and importance. We’ve already discussed God the Father, so now let’s look at God the Holy Spirit. The Bible describes the Holy Spirit as the One who will “guide you into all truth.” (John 16:13) So the Holy Spirit is the One who reveals truth to the children of God, obviously making said Spirit our teacher. The atheists too, have their great revealer of all things Darwinian; Richard Dawkins. It is safe to say that no other atheist has been as successful at converting people to atheism as Dawkins. And because of this, he is revered by all atheists for helping common, ordinary folks understand the wonder that is godlessness, and they love him for it. Richard Dawkins is indeed the holy spirit for atheists.

Jesus Christ

To complete the God-head, we have Jesus Christ. He is the One who can save us from our sins, if we receive Him as our Lord and Saviour, and repent of our sins. The atheists also have something that we should accept; evolution. One can never be an atheist without first accepting Darwin’s son, or more literally, his theory, and repenting (which literally means to "turn from") of their belief in a Creator.

Faith

Christians believe these things by faith, and the atheists are no different. By faith, they believe in the “big bang” theory. By faith, they believe that every life form has evolved from a simpler life form. They will tell you it’s not faith, its facts. Facts that have been proven by recreating events, testing them, and proving them. This is laughable because no one has EVER seen ANYTHING evolve, so we know they haven’t been able to test it. Likewise, no one has EVER seen ANYTHING explode and become more complex after the explosion than before. So, like I said, it is all by faith.

Church

We Christians have churches. Places where we come together as a called-out assembly, and worship God. In these gatherings we sing praises to God, and preach from His marvelous Word. In most churches you will hear its members say “Amen”, in approval of what is being said. While atheists don’t have churches, they do have their own meetings in which similar events occur. It’s takes place in the various blogs and communities they have online. And it works pretty much the same way; the blogger writes, and the congregation responds with comments that generally speak of their agreement with the writer.

Doctrinal Teaching

Christians do differ quite a bit doctrinally. Baptists, Methodists, Presbyterians, Pentecostals, etc. all have different doctrinal teachings. Atheists, believe it or not, are the same, except their doctrines are called scientific theories. They of course, believe these theories to be facts, the only problem is these facts change depending on which scientist you talk to. If any of you have seen Ben Stein’s movie, Expelled, you know what I’m talking about. The opinions and theories change depending on which way the wind is blowing that day. But I will give atheists a point here; Christians disagree way too much. We have the Bible, God’s Word and if we would all start reading it, this division would go away, and in doing so we could take a lot of ammunition away from our non-believing friends, but I don’t expect it to happen any time soon.

Here’s the HardTruth. 

Atheism is a religion, and denying this is a complete waste of time. You have all the necessary ingredients, and it’s time you all accept it. I can’t tell you how many atheists have tried to convert me recently, if you’re not a religion, why all the conversion attempts? Christians and atheists alike need to open their eyes and see the truth; atheism is a well-oiled machine, which is looking to bring as many people into their fold as possible, so we Christians need to be much more active about sharing the “Good News” while the atheists spread their negativity. If we do, as always, we’ll win because God is on our side, and that’s the HardTruth.
